This item is a bit tricky to install, as if it’s off by just a hair it can cause obstructions. We recommend professional installation because of this, even though it is a small simple looking piece.
The item needs to be place precisely in place, where the thin fins of the Reverse and Drive button are lined up perfectly, then placed down. If these are not position correctly, it may cause the item to lift up as its not seated correctly.

Hello Steve! This is a trickier item to keep put as the C8 Lever/Button design is so intricate. I am going to send you 2 more, with adhesive promoter that we use here to keep items that like put in the cloth, and also bottle q-tip style.
You will just need to apply the adhesive promoter, let it dry for about 3 minutes, and then apply the item.
If you were closer I would be happy to help out but I truly hope this helps! I have this on my Z06 and our locally installed pieces stay put for our customers.

Having the stealth interior option, the bright silver trim cover around the gear selector really stuck out…This CF cover really completed the look!
Make sure surface is clean and dry fit first…Also inspect all the CF edges, particularly around the bottom of the reverse pull switch section for smoothness…I had to slightly trim some clearcoat bulges for the edges in this area…
Once installed all the gear switches and buttons worked great with no obstructions…I then used a heat gun afterwards to activate the adhesive…Press well during cooling and the piece should be secured well…

Fit perfect took five minutes to install. It’s a little delicate so you just have to take your time putting it in match is perfect to the other carbon, fiber trim I have I would recommend this.

Doesn’t fit properly. Have retaped this part three times. Still pops up and will not stay in place. Buttons catches on carbon fiber.

We recommend professional installation as the item needs to be seated properly, for proper installation. If off by just a tad, it will cause obstructions. The item should be stuck on, precisely, without any movement. Adhesive promoter helps with this too
