Dodge Challenger RGB & Sequential Lighting Buyer’s Guide: Headlights, Side Markers, Tails & Accents
The Challenger has one of the most recognizable faces and tails on the road: quad round headlights up front and a full-width bar across the back. That’s why lighting is usually the first mod Challenger owners make, and also where people end up buying the wrong part for their year or body style.
This guide covers the Challenger RGB and sequential lighting we stock at Next-Gen Speed: color-changing headlights, RGB/Flow side markers, smoked LED markers and reflectors, sequential tails, and the underglow, grille, and interior extras that tie it all together. Prices below were checked against our live product pages on October 5, 2026. Sales can change without notice, so the product page always has the final word.

The short answer
- Want the biggest visual change? Start with color-changing headlights. Our 2015–24 prebuilt RGB set is the value pick. The Morimoto XRGB is the premium pick, with a Bi-LED projector and a 5-year warranty.
- Want color that matches the headlights down the sides? Add RGB/Flow side markers. They’re app-controlled and chase colors, but they’re built to order, so plan for a short build window.
- Want a clean blacked-out look on a budget? Smoked LED side markers and rear reflectors run $49.99–$85 and ship fast.
- Own a 2008–14? There’s a dedicated prebuilt RGB headlight, an RGB/Flow side marker set, and sequential LED tail lights for your generation.
- Want the full show? Finish with an RGB/Flow grille strip, an underbody kit, or interior lighting.
First, confirm three things about your car
- Year range. Challengers split at 2008–14 (pre-refresh) and 2015–2023/24 (refreshed headlights and tails). Parts don’t cross over.
- Body style. 2018+ Widebody cars (Scat Pack Widebody, Hellcat Widebody, Redeye, Demon) use different side markers from standard “slimbody” cars.
- Factory headlight type. Some replacement headlights are plug-and-play only on cars that came with HID headlights. If you’re not sure what’s on your car, call us with your VIN before you order.

2015–24 Dodge Challenger Prebuilt RGB LED Headlights: the value pick
The 2015–24 Challenger Prebuilt RGB LED Headlights come as a complete driver and passenger pair with RGB halo/DRL rings you control from a phone app (HappyLighting on iOS and Google Play), and the colors can sync to music. They also have amber LED turn signals and projector high and low beams.
- Price: $750 regular, $625 on sale (October 5, 2026)
- Stock: In stock. The product page says orders ship UPS/FedEx Ground within 2 business days, with 3–7 days in transit, and domestic shipping is free to the lower 48.
- Know before you buy: Plug-and-play is for HID-equipped cars only. Bulbs aren’t included (they take D2H/D2S), installation instructions aren’t included, and professional installation is highly recommended.
2015–23 Challenger XRGB LED Headlights (Morimoto): the premium pick

The 2015–23 Challenger XRGB LED Headlights are Morimoto’s multicolor housings with a Kuria-optic Bi-LED projector. Morimoto says low beam output is brighter and wider than the factory HID lights. You set DRL colors in the Morimoto XBT Bluetooth app, and the lights plug into the factory Mopar multi-pin connector with no extra wiring.
- Price: $848.99 regular, $799.99 on sale (October 5, 2026)
- Stock: In stock
- Warranty: 5 years, supported by Morimoto
- Listed fitment: 2015–2023 R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Shaker, Scat Pack (including Shaker), SRT 392, SRT Hellcat, SXT, and SXT Plus
- Compliance note: Morimoto states that the color-changing RGB DRL isn’t compliant for on-road use in the USA or Canada. Check your local rules.
How to choose: If you want the most color for the money and you have a factory HID car, the prebuilt set gets you there for about $175 less. If you care most about beam quality, plug-and-play wiring, and a long warranty, go with the XRGB.
2009–14 Challenger Prebuilt RGB LED Headlights
Pre-refresh owners get their own 2009–14 Challenger Prebuilt RGB LED Headlights. They’re designed to replace the factory housings, with app-controlled RGB lighting and a plug-and-play install. They’re $650 regular, $549.99 on sale (October 5, 2026), and in stock.
RGB/Flow side markers: color down the sides

Headlights alone can make a Challenger look unfinished from the side. Flow Series side markers carry the color down the body, with “chasing” LEDs and thousands of colors and effects in a Bluetooth app.
- 2015–24 Challenger Slim Smoked RGB/Flow Series LED Side Markers are $300 regular, $250 on sale. The set is 4 pieces (2 front, 2 rear) with smoked lenses, Bluetooth app control, and a 6-month warranty. They fit slimbody Challengers only. They’re built to order: the product page lists up to 2–10 days to build, then about 2 days to ship.
- 2008–14 Challenger Smoked RGB/Flow Series LED Side Markers are $275 regular, $250 on sale. They’re the same 4-piece app-controlled design for the earlier car, with a listed 2–3 week build time before shipping.
Professional installation is recommended for both RGB/Flow sets, since they add a controller to the plug-and-play markers.
Smoked LED markers and reflectors: the budget blackout

If you want the smoked look without color, these are the quickest wins in the catalog. Most of them list 1-day handling and 2–4 day USPS shipping.
- 2015–24 Challenger Smoked LED Side Markers are $75 for a 4-piece plug-and-play set with a 90-day warranty.
- Smoked Dual LED Side Markers for 2015–24 Challenger are $75. There’s also a Smoked Dual White version, also $75.
- 2015–24 Challenger Smoked LED Rear Reflectors are $60 regular, $49.99 on sale. You get 2 pieces with a 1-year warranty.
- Widebody owners: 2018–24 Challenger SRT Widebody Smoked LED Side Markers are $90 regular, $75 on sale, with a listed 5–10 business days for delivery. 2018–24 Widebody Smoked White Side Markers are $85.
- 2008–14 owners: 2008–14 Challenger Smoked LED Side Markers are $75.
Sequential tail lights

For 2008–14 cars, the 2008–14 Challenger LED Sequential Tail Lights turn that full-width rear bar into a sweeping turn signal. They’re $675 regular, $589.99 on sale (October 5, 2026), and in stock. It’s a complete plug-and-play pair with no drilling. Red signals are standard, and amber is available if you ask when you order. They have a 1-year warranty and list 2–8 day shipping.
On a 2015+ car, the factory tails already have a strong LED signature. Most owners pair them with smoked reflectors and side markers so the rear matches the front. If you’re after a specific 2015+ tail lamp, call us before you order.
Accent lighting to finish the build
- RGB/Flow LED Grille Lighting Kit (Lighting Trendz) is $50 and up. It’s a 60-inch waterproof strip, and Bluetooth control is optional.
- Aluminum Underbody Lighting Kit (RGB/RGBW/Flow Series) is $219 and up. The Flow Series version adds 200+ sequential modes. The product page lists 4–7 business days for delivery, or 3–4 weeks before shipping if it’s on backorder.
- Dodge RT RGB LED Customizable Steering Wheel Airbag Cover is $399.99 regular, $379.98 on sale. It’s made to order in real carbon fiber with a Bluetooth-controlled RGB “RT” logo. Plan on about 3–4 weeks to build, then 2–5 days to ship. The airbag isn’t included.

Install: DIY or the shop?
Smoked markers and reflectors are a driveway job. RGB headlights and Flow side markers take more work: headlights mean front-end access and aiming, and RGB parts add a controller and wiring. That’s why the product pages recommend professional installation. Our Canton, MI shop installs lighting in-house. Call (313) 262-1886 to book or ask about fitment.
FAQ
Do RGB headlights fit every 2015–24 Challenger? Fitment depends on the part. The prebuilt RGB set is plug-and-play on HID-equipped cars and needs D2H/D2S bulbs. The Morimoto XRGB plugs into the factory Mopar multi-pin connector and lists 2015–2023 trims from SXT to SRT Hellcat. Send us your VIN if you’re unsure.
Are color-changing DRLs street legal? Generally not on public roads. Morimoto says the XRGB’s RGB DRL isn’t compliant for on-road use in the USA or Canada. Most owners use the colors for shows and parked displays and run white or amber on the street. Check your state’s laws.
Will slimbody side markers fit my Widebody? No. The Slim RGB/Flow markers are listed for slimbody Challengers only. 2018–24 Widebody cars have their own smoked LED and smoked white side markers.
How long do built-to-order parts take? It depends on the item. The 2015+ RGB/Flow side markers list up to 2–10 days to build. The 2008–14 RGB/Flow set lists 2–3 weeks. The RT RGB airbag cover lists about 3–4 weeks. In-stock headlights and smoked markers ship much sooner. The product page always has the current timing.
Can I control everything from one app? Not always. The prebuilt headlights use HappyLighting, the XRGB uses Morimoto’s XBT app, and the Flow Series parts use their own Bluetooth controller. Plan on a couple of apps unless you buy from one ecosystem.
Do you have sequential tails for 2015+ Challengers? Right now our sequential tail light listing is for 2008–14 Challengers. For a 2015+ car, call us and we’ll tell you what’s available.
